Video Games Promote Healthy Relationships

I have always loved to play video games. When I was little it was your basic Nintendo and Gameboy. You could catch me playing Mario, Paper Boy, and Duck Hunt at least a few times during the week. I never had a Sega but my best friend did and I spent many hours playing Sonic the Hedgehog. Then for a few years during college I couldn’t afford a new gaming system. So, in its place I would play computer games which held me over till we bought the PS2, X-Box, and for fun the Game Cube. Now we are the proud owners of an X-Box 360 and Wii.

Anyway, a few months back I read an article in Women’s Health Magazine about gaming with your significant other. I was so excited to find that playing video games with my husband was actually a positive thing. http://www.womenshealthmag.com/sex-and-relationships/video-games-and-foreplay Of course when we played together we always had a good time, but who knew it was actually beneficial to our relationship. Sure he plays a lot of games that I don’t care for (I have just never been very good with first person shooter games). But overall we are still able to find a lot of games that we both enjoy. In fact we just bought the new Lego Indiana Jones game and it is great.   http://www.xbox.com/enUS/games/l/legoindianajonesoriginal/

If you are looking for a new way to get close to your significant other this is a very unique and fun option. So, for all you gamers out there here is the perfect excuse to keep playing the games you love. Just remember to include the special person you love too!
